Sun Warrior Princess

by Redbean (MCN News)

Fry_slayer, winner of the 2nd MCN Shield Design Contest, presents the winner's prize here. Aside from a few minor (and I mean extremely minor, mainly for printing reasons) tweaks here and there, the fig was designed by Fry himself. Hail to the Sun Warrior Princess:

The Unknown Artist Studio has arrived!

by Daredevil (Community)

Happy Halloween everyone! But let me tell you some other exciting news.

For a very long time I have been pestering, urging and slightly helping our Resident Fabric expert and wise moderator Unknown Artist to reveal something that will amaze the LEGO community. May I proudly announce His first (almost) fully functional website - The Unknown Artist Studio! –

Inside this wonderfully created website, with amazing graphics which are easy on the eye, you will find that you may purchase the Artist’s Fantastic Cloaks and his striking Vibroswords. Transform the unknown part of his screen name to known! Find out who is the man under the cloak by reading his about me page! Bet you never you knew he lived in !You can even subscribe to his newsletter for updates about new designs, new customs general news!

Of course the main purpose of his site is so you can see his fantastic state of the art customs.

So on this night of horror, let me show you something which shall help you get through the week.

MCN Shield Design Contest 2

by Redbean (MCN News)

Since our first MCN shield contest was such a great hit one year ago, MCN is proud to announce the 2nd MCN Shield Design Contest, which begins today!

The rules are as straightforward as last time around. Basically, all you have to do is to come up with a flat 2D design for the new Knight Shield (available here) by using this template. We are looking for designs that best epitomize originality while at the same time retaining a certain mercurial Lego-esque feel, with the eventual winner being determined by a panel or MCN mods. Grand prizes will be awarded!

Here are the rules:

1. Each person is allowed a maximum of 3 entries, each of which must be submitted via this form. (failure to observe this rule can result in disqualification in this contest).

2. The design must be applicable to the Knights Shield. Template can be found here.

3. The following entries are accepted: hand-painted, computer program-aided or hand-drawn and scanned.

4. Contest deadline is 15 October, 2006. Winners will be announced at the end of the month.

Prizes:

The Grand Winner will receive a special custom-made minifig, either designed by the winner himself/herself or by Redbean at the winner's request. This fig will be an absolutely unique sig-fig that will not available anywhere else (just like MicBean from the previous contest).

Two runner-ups will receive an actual Knights Shield printed (by water-slide decals) with their own winning designs. This is also a collector item that is not available anywhere else.

If you have any other questions regarding the details of the contest, please post them in this thread.

Little Armory Firearms & Great-helm!

by Damien (General Lego)

All over MCN and Classic-Castle, people have been waiting for the debut of new items from Little Armory. Now they're here.

Little Armory firearms and great-helms are now available for purchase at Sith35's Little Armory Box on Bricklink. The firearms can be purchased only as a set of 5. The great-helms are available individually, of course. Exciting news for those of us who have been waiting quite awhile for these items. Once again Jeff has produced impressive-looking accessories which will serve customizers well in their military and medieval pursuits.

Please note that this is only posted as newsworthy to customizers. This should not be taken as an endorsement by MCN of any product.
