Batman

by LEGOteuthis (Brick Talk)

I haven't been here in awhile; everything's changed! Aaaaah!

Apparently, LEGO's now coming out with a line based on Tim Burton's Batman films.

Check it out!

Correct me if I'm wrong, but that doesn't look like the standard minifig head under his cowl. But I must say it looks pretty dang cool. Now I must see The Joker !!.

WHatever that is, its not Lego.  In fact, I'd have to say that looks like either megablocks, or a fake.  Ugh, its so unappealing.

Well it was mentioned further down the topic, that it was a CG image(place holder), until they released the offical set pictures. I just can't help but think its of the Jack Stone size figs..

Ahh but you see they do, lego has movie spiderman where as megabloks have comic spiderman.

Therefore lego could have any version ie, film, Tv, Comic etc.

Everyone relax before we start arguing. Next week at the Toyfair convention it will be confirmed/announced. Here's hope that we get a Tumbler. Funny thing is I was just thinking about making a few Batman Begins customs. Next year I mean not week.

For the love of all that is LEGO, I hope not. Call me a purist, (or even a few ugly things) but I would much rather see the Batmobile from the 1989 Batman, then that wannabe Battank...

It's Real...

Jake McKee says it's legit

It's real - though i can't say the image looks that great. It's just a mockup of what they are planning (CG), not the real thing, tha'ts pretty obvious from the curves it has, but we'll just have to see what their final solution for the cowl is...

And for the record, Megablocks doesn't have the current Batman license, C3 does. C3 is owned by Art Asylum. They have the license for the Batman and Justice League Animated series, though I have yet to see any of the JL releases that were planned back in 2004. They have some of the Batman sets at my local Super K (Kmart)

Art Asylums' Batman/Justice League license expired last August. For those who don't believe that TLC has aquired the Batman license perhaps a Warner Bros. press release will convince you? http://www.millionaireplayboy.com/message/viewtopic.php?t=2120 Ken

Way too cool,

"Hello shop@home, I'd like to preorder one of each of the new Batman sets !!"

Note: Didn't actually call shop@home and tell them that, but if I knew I could, I probably would.

Cool.  Didn't really believe it at first, so I didn't bother posting.  But I suppose that proves it.  I'm all for it personally.  Especially if it's based on Batman Begins, as I really loved that film.

Eh? Most of the time we speak a language others can understand. I don't think many of us can understand Klingon! But here's how I think it should be written:

"I think it looks pretty cool. But personally, when it comes out, I'll have to see the prices to make my final evaluation."                                             Sound better anyone?

The new rumor of sets sounds pretty spiffy if you ask me. Since LEGO has the rights for the entire Batman Universe (TV Shows, Movies, Comics) I'm betting we'll get more sets in '07 or possibly earlier around Christmas next year.
