Legonian Special Forces Gamma

Minifig Custom

And to continue with the squad... LSF Gamma:

Notes: I'm thinking that I'm not going to keep that head (I tried a beret on it and it just started peeling the sticker off- too thick. But I did want to see how the face sticker would come out and for the moment and I misplaced the heads that I'm using for the rest of the team (yes, I lost my head :D )). The "boonie hat" and sleeveless shirt kind of make him look too much like a "cowboy" and not a "Weapons/Close Combat Specialist", so while he'll get the standard "boonie hat"/combat helmet/beret deal like the others in the team I plan to now get to work on a "do-rag" for him (I'll probably replace the "boonie hat" pics with the "Do-rag" pics later on but leave them [the "boonie" pics] at my Brickshelf account. And yes, I realize that the decals printed out to slightly different shades than the paint or minifigure *sigh*, at least it's not too bad for the shirt. More variations on the torso decals can be found at my Brickshelf folder once it's public, including an OD Green version of the shirt if anyone is interested.

About the Decals: As the team's primary Weapons Specialist he'll be mainly using either a GPMG (a Bestlockian M60E1 to be exact) or when I get the chance to purchase a LA pack, a SAW, so he has an ammo belt wrapped around him. Around his neck is supposed to be a towel (I was debating about it being his shirt), I did that to give him some shoulder padding- everytime I think of GPMGs, I always remember the Vietnam pic of a US soldier carrying an M60 across his shoulders, when I was in Israel in '91 I was in the part of my group who signed on for two weeks of basic training and then two weeks of base guarding, during basic training we had GPMG training, I chose to carry the weapon and remembering that pic, carried the weapon across my shoulders- just to let anyone know, the Belgian MAG (British L7, I think, I can't look it up right now) has much sharper edges than an M60 seems to have- hence, because I look after my troops, a towel for the poor guy. And as a Close Combat Specialist, the sleeveless shirt for easier movement (okay, that sounded stupid, I just thought it would look cool).
