Anyone know where I can get some minimates figs without the set?

This was on the old boards, as was a discussion about using their weapons with lego figs. I think they're pretty good, especially the ones from the movies. I did buy a good number of the elven warrior sets, and the Sauron figure is quite cool too. The last I saw my local Toyrs R Us had the 4 pac LoTR sets for $5 on clearance, they are pretty neat. I also got a bunch of the Marvel ones on clearance at Target for somewhere around $1 a pack, but *only* because they were on clearance. All that having been said, there is no comparing them to legos. One of my lego knights could take out my whole collection of Minimates.

I simply don't like them. I wasn't aware that I needed a reason. I don't like lobster dinners either. Personal preference, that's all.

hey guys, my quick story about minimates. i used to see them and think they looked knda cool, but i had no interest. then....my buddy gave me a Mr. T minimate. he was fun to play around with, and pose, etc... then i grabbed a few, just to have some marvel characters i like.  there is no way they will ever replace lego for me, and the c3 stuff they did was kinda crappy, but they are fun to collect and customize. and for me ,i kinda put them into the action figure category ( with kubrick and palz), and dont really compare them to lego.

oh well, just my two cents

I have some limp biscuit minimates, and although they come with cool guitars (which are lego compatible) the figures themselves suck.
