Battlestar Uniforms

by Daredevil (WIP, Decal & Customizing Chat)

Hello all,

Yes I've not been around here much. I feel terrible for lurking. I'm trying to start dropping in more often though.

So anyway to the good stuff. Some time ago I posted a Battlestar flight suit. A few days ago I created the uniform.

And if anyone wants a different coloured band. (Adamas is red) Drop me a PM.

Ben

even though I have no idea what the heck battlestar is, I think these are pretty good.

"Fleeing from the Cylon tyranny, the last Battlestar, Galactica, leads a rag-tag fugitive fleet on a lonely quest. A shining planet, known as Earth" - Commander Adama

"Battlestar", short for "Battlestar Galactica", a sci-fi series that originally ran from mid/end 1978 until mid 1979. They then made a spinoff of it in 1980 called "Galactica 1980" (bet you didn't expect that ;D ). Recently in December of 2003 they brought back the series and totally revamped it (Boomer is now female and a Cylon). Unless something happened (since I haven't seen the show in a while it should be continuing until the present. The decals above are from the revisioned series (2003-present).

Ben, I'm pleasantly surprised to see these (just joshin' you about the link :D ). I know I'm the last person that should be asking this, but, aren't the lines a bit thin? (especially in the larger versions). Nicely done otherwise and I really like that [previous] flight suit as well.

Thanks for the explanation Alan! :)

Ah I forgot you said I should make Battlestar Uniforms! :-)

About the lines. The only thing ones in paticular could be around the small buttons. Everywhere else they are 2 to 1.5 thick.

Like I said, I was just bustin' your chops- a little humor between friends :D

Any BG Colonial Marines (as opposed to the Colonial Marines from Aliens) in the works? (And if you really want a headache, how about Apollo's camouflage uniform when they went back to Caprica?) Are you going to try the whole series characters? (within limits of course- unless you're also building a minifig scale Galactica ; ) ). Sorry, I like Galactica, both series, although I probably like the new series better- darker, more realistic...

Pter Galactica is one of my favourite shows of all time.

Yes the marines are in work. Gotta put brickarms to SOME good use eh?

And I want a few of each type of job on the ship. So some marines and yes some caprican battle dress probably some CIC workers too Dualla mainly and probably baltar. Mebbe even ms six :)

The minimates ones are very inspiring.
