Official Decals

by Lamanda2 (WIP, Decal & Customizing Chat)

I have recently gotten myself a Pro account on Flickr, which is just perfect for my decal sharing. With no waiting for images to go public, I can share the whole folder with no worries. Smile

Here is the link to all of my decals uploaded to Flickr so far (Still working on some uploads and the like.):

-My Decals-

If you have any suggestions for different colors, just let me know and I may try it out.  OR, if there is a certain official design
you think I should make, shoot me a PM about it. (I don't want this to become a request thread.)

Do not alter these designs, especially if you intend pass them off as your own work.
If you use any of these decals, please give a little mention of credit.

Really nice ones Lamanda2! I really like them. The official ones look no different than yours! The created decals like the Ninja, cowboy, and asian are also really nice too. Nice work! BTW could you try using the free program called GIMP? I heard from captjack that it is complicated. Can you test it out thanks.

"The created decals like the Ninja, cowboy, and asian are also really nice too."

I don't understand, why did you call these 'created decals'?

"BTW could you try using the free program called GIMP? I heard from captjack that it is complicated. Can you test it out thanks."

I've had The GIMP for a bit over the year now. The reason it would be complicated is because it's the type of program you would use more for things like photo-editing (What I use it for.), since it makes a lousy program to try and draw with (Takes many un-needed steps to create curved lines.).

Paint.NET is perfect for me, so I have no need to switch to anything else.

Thanks for your comments.

not only you are one of the best making customs decals, also is very kind from you that you share them with us... thanks!

Wow...you've really been busy, churning out these highly accurately detailed designs! Excellent work!

Just a little note tho; your decal design under "Ninja" should be under "Oriental" (Jing Lee the Wanderer).

"not only you are one of the best making customs decals, also is very kind from you that you share them with us... thanks!"

Thanks, I'm more than happy to share these designs with everybody, especially the female decals, since there is such a shortage of them in the LEGO world. And hey, with so many designs, it just wouldn't be fair not to share them, especially since I know I can't use all  of them. :-D

"Wow...you've really been busy, churning out these highly accurately detailed designs!"

I certainly have. It's a really fun way to spend my free time.

"Just a little note tho; your decal design under "Ninja" should be under "Oriental" (Jing Lee the Wanderer)."

Ah, thanks for that, Nick. A few of the designs I made are 'misplaced', take the female in the town section, I believe she belongs in the Oriental/Adventurer, section. My intent was to place them in both categories, since alot of designs can pass off in multiple themes.

What I meant by created was custom. I used the wrong word by accident. Yeah as Nick said, it should go under Jing Lee, that's what I thought. No problem though!

"What I meant by created was custom. I used the wrong word by accident."

None of those three designs were custom, they are all official designs, actually.

never, mind i don't know if some of them are official or not but i recognized a few! Nice nevertheless!

"how did you get the official designs?"

I draw them using Paint.NET.

Heheh, I know what you mean now, sorry for the bit of confusion.
Most all of the decals there are official, just in new colors. I did modify some princess decals, though.

Thanks Ben. I'll have to return the favor and add you as well. Didn't know you had a Flickr account, actually, if I had I would've added you sooner! :-D

Guys guys guys, you are starting to run this topic off it's rails. ;-)

"where do you get paint.net? because those look perfect"

Right here-  www.GetPaint.NET

"Could it possibly be www.paint.net?"

Close.
At least it does provide a link to the Paint.NET site there, though.

"I don't know, but this may just be my downloading skills, I couldn't download it . I fact after I tried it didn't work at all. I don't know whats going on could some one help me with this?"

I remember when I downloaded it, I had to first install another program for it to work, Framework something.. If you already have that and it's still not working, try to find the program in 'My computer' somewhere, I don't remember if it was when installing this or The GIMP that I had to do a bit of work to get it going.

If everything else fails, it may be your computer, I know Devin said he just can't get it on his PC, same goes for Alan.

If you guys have any more questions about the program, post them in my Paint.NET topic located in the tips/techniques Forum. (Yes, I know you may have to do a little digging to get it.)
