Questions from Widigo

by widigo (Tips, Techniques & Questions)

Dear Reader,

I’m new here so for starters I would like to say that this place is awesome. I found the website when looking for material on BrikWars, and thought that it was great.

I am interested in playing BrikWars and thought I would ask my questions here.

I have a few buckets of Legos from my childhood, but the only minifigs I can find are the odd Lego pieces from my Johnny Thunder sets, and Mega Block Dragons men.

My main concern now is were I could find cheap bricks and minifigs. They don’t have to be name brand, and I’m not a stickler for quality. So long as they stick together and don’t break I’m fine with them. I’m hoping to find some Military Sets.

I’ll edit this as questions come about, I’m looking through my stuff as we speak so I’ll have plenty more.

Thank You!

Widigo

Thanks I'll look into it.

How many people have painted Bricks, how do they take to paint, and is tehre anything I need to do to them first. I've had to make my items out of mismatched blocks because of my random collection. I would like to make them a flat black for now, but my love of wargames and modeling will have me perchasiong model paints to do more drybrushing and whatnot later on.

Also, there are loads of decals/stickers/images for attaching to minifigs, but is there an archive of computer pannels and whatnot. I need a control pannel for a vehickle, but have none.

P.S. Can someone move this to the questions forum. I realize that I placed this in the wrong place.

Hey, Widigo, if you have read the rules, please do what they say, if you haven't please do read the rules. Also you posted in the wrong forum thread, just so that you are aware of that.

About painting check this forum.

BTW what yeroc said is right, Bricklink or Ebay is what i would suggest.
Please if you need some questions asked about things. Please type in the search bar and please don't be tempted to post in an old forum thread. Just PM (private message) an old member like the mods for instance, babyjawa
vidgamer838 anugrah (me), and yeroc or others.

First off, constructive information: Widigo, concerning moving this thread elsewhere, while a moderator can do that for you, since you're the creator of this topic when you go to the "edit" tab (located at the top by your first post above) you should have a pull down menu which allows you to put this thread in another location. Sorry if I'm not clearer but I haven't used that in a while so I guess I'm a bit rusty. Hope it helped, contact me if you have more questions.

Next, would this be the control panel decal you're looking for? If so, enjoy. I don't remember the exact percentage to scale it down, I think it was 21% but I could be wrong- either measure a sloped brick or play around with the scaling percentages.

Yeah, I know I put it in the wrong place. I'll go move it I didn't know I could.

Hey Sorry about this Widigo, I think you double posted on accident. I think that if you are the starter of the thread that there is a delete button or edit button somewhere.... I forgot where it was in think it was on the top of the screen. Just press the edit button and I'm sure you'll now what to do from there. ;-)!
