Actually I've been a member of MCN since way before the hack. Jared (Kaminoan) got me into minifig customization. I was creating a prototype of the ep3 clone troopers and he showed me a lot of ways to customize other then decaling.

I owe my thanks to Redbean and Classic-Castle, were it not for his article on creating custom Lego accessories, I would never have gotten into customization.

I had just discovered Classic-Castle, and checked through all Anthony's awesome decals and was just amazed. Apon further inspection of the How-to's, I found Red's article. I always enjoyed sculpting and playing with clay (Me and my brothers used to make things and play with clay alot when we were younger :-D ) and at the time, had been making a couple things with Sculpey Clay. When I read from the article about how you could use Sculpey to create awesome custom Lego acessories I knew I had to give it a try!

So, I played around with it a bit, and after much practice, I got a pretty good hang of accessory making, and created my first custom figure. (My Cloud Strife figure)

After attending Brickfest, a friend of mine gave me a link to the MCN, and I joined up instantly.
Forgot the name of the site and asked my friend again, then came back.

I really loved reading the forums(Which provided much help in the learning experience.(They still do!) ), and checking out the great customs people were making, these were reasons I came back then, and are also reasons I still love coming back again and again. :-D

..Gotta' love long rambling posts ;-)

i owe my hobby to saber-scorpion, who had the link to little armory on his site.  following it eventually led me to RB's site, which had the MCN banner... and the rest is history.

I have always been a fan of Wargaming, but never had the money to pay for the miniatures and paint. I made terrain for a while but finally stopped it all. I have always loved legos and descended oneday to dig out my old ones and play with them. I thought of how cool a game would be if it were played like a wargame but with legos. So, I googled it to see if someone had done some of the work for me and it turns out BrikWars had done all of it for me. I found this place soon after because it's one of few lego forums that I can find BrikWars even mentioned on, and I look forward to customizing in the future.

How'd I start with the customizing? It was probably around the time that Lego first showed their Boba Fett- it was cute but I wasn't impressed so I went from customizing GI Joe/Star Wars figures and tried my luck with a minifig and created my own Fett. Which leads me to...

How'd I find this site? I was looking for intel on customizing and found this place. I was quite impressed with some of the decals and customs I saw here and I stayed.

I've been here since before the hack. I've been here a long time. Go RedBeanStudio MCN! Woo!

I don't really know what made me come back. I can't even remember.... I've somewhat improved over these years. ;)  Haven't posted a custom minifg in way over a year. it's about time for me to post one...me thinks.
