How to make a trojan helmet (with-out all the fuss!)

by IRONFIST (Tips, Techniques & Questions)
Hi,
Today I'll teach you how to make your very own trojan helmet!
I'm sorry this isn't in the how to section, it didn't allow me to create a new article!
There will be no sculpey at all just:
*Paint
*Lego racer helmet
*Hot-glue gun
*Axe
*Knife

1.Grab a lego racer helm and a knife. Slowly scrape off the coat/layer on the helm
2.Get your axe and cut the blade off ( different lengths, you choose )
3.Super-glue the axe blade to the middle top of the helm
4.Get some yellow/gold paint and give your helmet a paint job
5.To make your helmet look really effective, I suggest you read the via rubb-off article.
6.Now you have a trojan/greek helmet, in 5 EASY STEPS!

PS: Sorry for no pics! :(

Interesting. I have a couple questions though:

-Why scrape down the helmet with a knife, rather than sanding it with a fine grit sandpaper?
-What is the hot glue gun for?

This reminds me of a method of Legoship's, but he actually cut a gap out of the chinstrap, and used sculpey at the top to make a plume.
Both are pretty nifty ideas.

Nice work.

As Lamanda2 said, why scrape the helmet with a knife? I'd say BRASSSOOOOOOOO....

Actually he didn't put a glue gun in what he said, he said super glue it.
I know it may be a hassle Lamada2 but can you put a link to what legoship's method was??

Everything has an advantage and disadvantage, and everything has its place it life... especially people without status...

The super glue gun is to glue the bottom of the axe-blade to the top of the helm.
I'm sorry for saying scrape the surface with a knife, which-ever way suits you. . .
