Custom Goblin Squad

by Lamanda2 (Minifig MOC's)

Been doing a little customizing here and there as of late.
Here's a squad of custom Goblin figures I have made:

Not much customization going on here, just some custom painted heads and a couple helmets
my brother(s) customized when we were younger that I fixed up a little bit.

Looks really good like its an intro to a movie and they are showing the dramatis personae!
Looks really classy!

Ah ha, so that's where all the Dragon Knights torsos went. You mean to tell me you painted all those Goblin heads!? If patience is a virtue, you're a veritable customizer Plato.

Thanks Guys!

Ah ha, so that's where all the Dragon Knights torsos went.
Heh, yeah. Actually, these were all just given to me by my brother (Gave me his collection). These were all his figs really, just as we used to play with them, I just replaced our old sharpie-drawn goblin heads with my own.

You mean to tell me you painted all those Goblin heads!?
Yes indeedy. I painted all those heads in two days (Couple hours each day) using my tools (err.. tool) of choice- the mighty toothpick!

Alas, I can finally see the pics! (Gotta love Brickshelf (or my connections) these days). Anyway, if there can be pink Kree why not yellow goblins (I'm used to goblins being a shade of green).

A few things I loved about the pic; first, with the darkness at the top and bottom of the pic it looks like someone staring at the squad while losing consciousness (the eyes slowing closing...closing...); next, the expressions on the faces of the two guys in front- they look either worried, or more likely, sad (maybe the dude whose eyes are closing was their leader- I could just see in the next sceenshot the guy with the chinguards bursting into tears crying "I'm sorry Sarge! I didn't know the gum was loaded!"), I think I said this about another goblin you did- it's all in the eyes- "the windows to the soul"; and finally, I like the way they turned out- true I've spoken out against their eyes, but the eyes along with the rest of the faces came out real nice, the only thing I had against them were that for goblins the eyes were too kind looking.

But overall, they look great!
