cartoon contest entries-what do you think?

I just hope my pictures are small enough and I enter correctly. I'll post my entry in a few minutes.

These are opinions. In no way am I trying to sway opinion of whoever is judging the contest. I'm also not trying to hurt feelings, so feel free to ignore me.

The Ninja Turtles are pretty cool. Its really hard to get those to look great. Wouldn't it be awesome if TLG took up the TMNT line?

The Skeletor is probably my favorite so far. A torso decal and appropriate coloring of the skull would make it top notch. The concept is spot on though. I could guess who that was supposed to be without knowing the name ahead of time. And finally... a use for that wierd-looking sword from the Knights line!

The Shaggy from Scooby Doo is neat. He has a casual look about him. I haven't seen the cartoon in ages, so I don't know if he resembles the character.

Is Asterix the guy from the French cartoon? There was a really short blonde guy and a very large viking-looking dude. I think I saw a book or comic or something.

thanks for the comment on skeletor the reason there are no decals is because i just recently learned to make them and your smurf is great too

well thanks for the TMNT comments but mine was disqualified which is kinda dumb in my opion i mean why does it still have to be a certain size if its in a whole differant site?but they proubly have a reason so i dont care.

We do have our reasons. And even if we didn't - the rules are CLEARLY written and easy to find. Everyone abides by the same rules. If you can't be bothered to read the rules and comply with them like everyone else is supposed to. . well, we can't be bothered to judge your entry.


Keep in mind for this thread that no Staff members will be commenting on entries, as that would not be proper conduct on our behalf since some of us are judges. But keep up the comments, guys. I'm liking the support you're giving each other. Just remember to keep it polite. If anyone starts insulting anyone's work (not that anyone has), this thread will be locked down faster than Alcatraz.

I thought I had a pretty good chance until I saw Marvin the Martian. That looks professional. If TLG were maiking a Looney Toons line, that's what Marvin the Martian would look like.

The Aeon(sp?) minifig is also incredible. I've nver seen the cartoon, but I think the minifig looks cool. Is that sculpey?

When the contest was still going, I though that the daffy duck and marvin the martian were going to tie for first. but, berger came up with his custom shredder that won.
