I was wandering peeron, when BAM! this caught my fanciful gaze...

Now people can stop crying for a hoth battle set.

Yeah, they can, since this one is overpriced and just okay looking.

Yeah, I was surprised at how expensive that set was. $60.00 on toysrus.com. Not worth it in my opinion.

That pic has been released for a while now.  I can't wait for the set to come out, mostly for the figs, but I want another speeder too.

That set SUX!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! There is hardly anything to it. All they have is a speeder and a door to the hangar, along with other useless crap. $60.00 is WAY too much.

by spikeballs on Wed, 08/15/2007 - 10:00
ya i would only pay about 20 bucks for that but it should be like 10

EDIT:when does this set come to store shelfs or is it already out?

$60.00 isn't so excessive, considering that people always want more than 1 snowtrooper, that has a rare, well, not often used helmet/backpack thing, 2 of those hoth troopers that were originally in a $60.00 set (just 1.)

The set is out now on shop at home, but it is not available in the US.  The most I think it should be is $40.  Let's not forget that the speeder before this was twenty bucks and it didn't come with a door or Snow Troopers.  The Sith Inflitrator is also out but it is $30 and only comes with one fig.

The Hoth Rebel Base should be available at Toys R Us stories shortly as it's an exclusive set for that chain.

Here's the link to pre-order the set online from TRU

On the contrary Hawkeye, after some math, i found the average cost per piece to be $0.14. Therefore, for the 545 pieces it would be about $76. That makes $60 look a lot better!!

For me this set is £40, which is just about a good price in my opinion. The Hoth Speeder is fantastic, I bought that speeder sepretely a while back and have not regretted the purchase. Judging how that alone was £15-£20, I would say it is about fair.

This set is worth the money IMO. It comes with a LOT of minifigs a snowspeeder a wall a fixing thing a protcal droid and some other stuff. I like in canada so this set is goin to cost me more than 60 dollars but break everything down and then look at the prices. You see look 2 snow troopers 20 dollars 2 rebel soldiers 10 dollars luke skywalker plus pilot another 10 dolars snowspeeder 20 dollars wall 15 dollars fixy thing 5 dollars K3-P0 another 20 dollars since its only in this set. Its a reasonable price
