Napoleons Mameluke cavalry

by Bonaparte (Minifig MOC's)
The torso is based on an official torso that was recreated by Lamanda2.
I changed the colors to match the Napoleonic Mameluke cavalry.

The Mamelukes make a strong impression on Napoleon whilst in Egypt, so he decided to recruit some of them.
Eventually they became part of the Old guard (cavalry), and served the Emperor right up to Waterloo.

Here they are, 10 Mamelukes on white horses. Each armed with a sword and pistol.

I think they really look good together as a cavalry unit. They all are in uniform and look like real soldiers. But I'm just not sure about the turbans, they i think don't really fit Egyptians, but what ever. By the way, very, very, very nice avatar.

I like your cavalry!  It's one of the good Napolean-era mocs I've seen.  Keep up the great work!

Those are the first recreations of anything in that era!  Very very very nice job.   Maybe change the white arms to skin (yellow)?

No, I think the white arms are needed to tell the definition that the torso is a yellow jacket, and not skin color.

Thanks for all the feedback and comments.
Maybe I should start a topic for my avatar torso :-)
