Avatar not working

Um, I am trying to upload this avatar.
The image “http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/drdrdr/turner/small_bubble_fig.jpg” cannot be displayed, because it contains errors.
It is 84 by 100 pixels and about 9kb.  I also tried bmp, which is still less than 50.
Am I missing something?  It is just not working.

Have you uploaded it, saved the changes and left it for and hour or two? Sometimes it takes a while for the system to update.

Ok I tried that, and it is still not working.  Do you know what file type it is supposed to be?  When I used bmp it said that the file is not an image and then with jpeg it said changes saved, and even after checking back hours later it still hadn't changed.

Ok, I'm glad it is working now.  I guess I just didn't give it enough time.  But it does look a bit fuzzy/pixelated though compared to the picture in the post for some reason.
