Concept Art - Judge Dredd and Predator

Two more early, very early, concept art pieces for a:

Judge Dredd. I realise that normally the chain and badge are on his armor, but I wanted him to be able to have that distinguished "I am the LAW!!" look when he took his armor off. I think I'm going to modify an Oxford Chrome Knight Set or just use some sculptey to get his eagle motif armor look and use a Brick Arms M23/LAM for his "Lawgiver 2"

and The Predator. This needs a lot of work mainly with colour textures, hard to do with MS Paint. And the face/jaws obviously need some work, but I was just trying to flesh out some ideas.

I am loving the way these are coming out, I can't wait to get some decal paper and do some beta testing. I think these will be the last posts untill I can work out how to use Corel Draw or Draw Plus, or untill I can post about 5 at a time to limit forum posting traffic.

Awesome! Good job, I hope to see the finished fig. On the constructive crit. side, though- Dredd's mouth seems a bit big. But they look good so far!

Dredd looks rather finished but I do agree his mouth expression could use some tuning. I don't remember Stallone ever being that animated. Predator looks like he needs a lot more work. As says Samri, more detail would go a long way. Keep it up though.

Thanks for the input guys. As I mentioned, the predator was just more to get some ideas fleshed out and posted for comments. Also at this stage I'm not exactly profecient in the use of any decent drawing programs so these are basically the best I can manage with MS Paint at the moment. But I know now once I've figured them out there will be a lot more work going into the predator design.

i like the template for the chest rig with the skulls. i started to make a predator fig and i was making the chest rig out of armor from a knight lego and a mask that looks pretty close
