Garage sales are great!

by acepilot246 (Brick Talk)

Well one of my niehgbors who is very very old was selling off her recently deceased son's old stuff from her attic. While browsing through her attic with her helping her clean and set up I came across a tote full of lego boxes. All sets were sealed and had never been opened. Most were fright knights and old castle sets.

I came across a New-in-box

Thesee are just refrence pictures and as soon as I get my POS camera working again I'll post pictures. And as soon as I get em built I get pictures of those too. Can anyone say "Ultimate medievil Brikwar"?

Why I'm so astounded is most are NIB condition (all but the treasure cart and the forestmans river fortress)  and I got it all for $50? I woudl have readily paid $250 or more for them!

Hey vg838 thanks for the sig fig!

I have most of the castle built. She said she found more, but I'm going over for a few days to look at it. Seeing as I have limited tiem to built all these things it will take at least a week or two. I worked for an horu and a half just to get the base of the stupid castle built.

Still woorking on pictures. I picked up a crap disposable camera and will try to ge tthe pics i have already processed. And as soon as my digi comes back from the repair shack I'll get even better in.

If this site was based in like Omaha or somewhere close like that in a big building I woudl leave it to you guys to pick up pieces, but sadly, its just a site and not an in life organization... =(

Don't worry I'll hopefully have the pictures developed by Friday.

wish the garage sales in my city were like that. most of my citys garage sales have nothing cool. Ex: stair climbers.

life marches on. keep up or get trampled.

my idea was part of a strongbad email. name starts with a "D".

update: The castle and river fortress are complete.

Seeing as I work at the movie theatre that shows only 2 movies at a time we have alot of free time in between when the movie-go'ers enter and leave their theatres. With some help from a few of my co-workers and my boss =D we got them built throughout the showing of TMNT (which by the way isnt that bad) They just came in the house out of my car and are sitting in my lego room.

Tomorrow at work we are going to attempt some of the others and im workign on the treasure guard as I type this.

You lucky dog. Makes me wonder what my elderly neighbors have lying around. Maybe that's just mean, oh well, back to Ebay.
