Guild Wars Ranger - Eratoth Murtlach

by Vidgamer838 (Minifig MOC's)

Hello Customizers!

I'm proud to finally present my contribution to the series of Guild Wars minifigures. First and foremost, I would like to thank Brickforge for their custom accesories, several of which were used to make this figure. This is my character Eratoth Murtlach, a Ranger Warrior. He sports a long bow and a long dagger. I've made his coat and painted his vambraces and his modified bandana. Special kudos to whomever can figure out what the shoulder armor is in the last picture!

Awesome! How come you didn't use the decals that you made for him a while back? The dark green on him looks sweet. The shoulder armor is from that stingray guy's weird helmet- and I never thought anyone would find a good use for that piece… -Devin

Oh hej pac looks like you beat me to the punch, i was just about to go search peeron for the helmet's name! Nice custom, but i don't know if i like the customized bandana, why did you customize it?

I like the bandana. Looks way cooler than offical Lego one.

I love the use of the bottom part of the stingray's helmet as the shoulder piece. Great work on this.

Great stuff there! At first I thought the shoulder piece was off the Samuri Breatpiece (I'm lucky enough to have two of those as my Dad used to take lego back from Hong Kong) but then in the last picture it looks more like it was chopped off an action figure of somesorts.

Well anyway love the fabric work and the Bandana, so kudos to you!

Good work with the bandana, I have been working on some different bandana ideas for my figures.  You should slap a decal on him though.

Pretty clever stuff getting the pauldron (can't vie for prize of the mystery material on the shoulder) on the outside of the fabric. Sorry I can't say much more than, awesome work VG.

Very nice work, VG! The Brickforge accessories really suit him. Great idea on the pauldron! Now, let's get clicking, guys - gotta produce those 3000 hits! :D

That's really good. I love all the swag you hooked him up with, too.

By the way, I was going to say that the pauldron was a part of Little Armory's 14th century armor.

My guess is it's a piece from one of the older Hydronauts/Stingray helmets. Awesome work!

Sorry for not replying sooner everybody! Pac was the first one to guess it, yes it was an old stingray helmet! Kudos!

How come you didn't use the decals that you made for him a while back?

I never really like the decals I had made for him. I also had some issues printing brown that matched lego brown, and I really liked the simplicity and attitude the plain torso gave it.

Nice custom, but i don't know if i like the customized bandana, why did you customize it?

Because I think it looks better. ; ) The lego bandana always seemed to bug me with the two flaps, so I cut off the small flap. It looks truer to the real thing, and it doesn't look as weird. (My Opinion)

Now, let's get clicking, guys - gotta produce those 3000 hits!

Yikes, better finish up my other project!

Thanks for all of your kind comments! I really love reading everybody's feedback when I post customs on the site. Did anybody recongnize the dagger he's carrying? It's actually one of my Legolas minifig's white knives. He's currently sporting a bow while sliding down the stairs on a shield. ; )

P.S. Would somebody be so kind to include this in the customs gallery? :D
