So before I buy do the minifigs move? What do you think

by Damien on Mon, 12/11/2006 - 20:23

Yes. They're regular LEGO minifigs.

Yep, from what I have heard they all work great. Though I think that the non-figure pieces and the Queen's legs are glued, but I am not completely sure of that.

What Lamanda said is thankfully untrue, because I won one myself and would be very angry if they were.

Sorry Kunaiblade but Lamanda is correct they are glued ( I have 2 copies of this set).

Maybe you can try to boil the minfigs to make them come unglued? Just a thought...

Those who tell me I am too old for legos must die a horrible death by the hand of a custom minifig. >:D

Thats an okay idea, but the lego would boil with the glue, and we wouldn't want that. Hopefully there is a solution that I am not aware of.

the lego shouldn't boil with the glue because that is what many people do with sculpey accesories that have to stay on the minifig until it's cured.

Stay in school.
Pay special attention in Chemistry.

LEGO will not 'boil.' Plastic does not react that way to heat. It simply becomes softer and more malleable. As a matter of fact, in my various customizing hobbies I boil or otherwise heat plastic regularly. It does not damage the plastic at all. Once it cools, it resumes its usual consistency anyway. And only softer plastic tends to react to boiling water (such as the KK2 sword type of plastic). Glue, on the other hand, reacts in an entirely different fashion.

The Blue rooks: only the shield, Technic piece, and torch aren't glued. The flame is glued to the handle, though.
The Red rooks:  Only the shield and the Technic piece are not glued.
All the horns are glued to the helmets. The queens robe piece is glued. The slope and the 2x2 brick on the knights are glued, but not the horse helm, batteldroid arm, or 1x1 with clip pieces are not.

My Red queen's left arm was glued on, (Though, as this was not so on the Blue queen, I'm thinking the glue just dripped to the arm) I attempted to get it off, the nub on the end ripped in half. I (sortof) fixed it with green stuff, but...

The board is also glued, of course, but I pried off all the tiles with my mini-flathead screwdriver, 'cause I needed them for BrickQuest. I also have gotten most of the horns off the helmets, using a 'nother mini screwdriver attachment.

That was all that was glued, though.
