Spartan (Ancient Greece)

by GreekFreak (Minifig MOC's)
I got my stuff from Red Bean yesterday, and made a two decals today.

Here is my spartan:

C & C welcome, enjoy.

Note: My resizing program couldn't get my decal just right, so it falls short.

nice, i really like that idea of the sheild being carry'd on the back, you could probbally go for a bit more detail on the armor, like some shaddows and some ' shiny bits" but it still looks really good.

oh and welcome to MCN

can i modify and use this decal?

Great idea for puting the shield on the back of the fig!

About the decal, maybee you should have made it a different colour, the minifig looks kind of nude, as it is yellow!

Hey, nice ideas. I like the shield on the back- Never seen that before.

I have a few suggestions for the decals:

  • Try using Another Color- that way it won't look like the minifig is shirtless.
  • Maker your lines bolder- this will ensure all the detail makes it in when you shrink your design. I find it easy to start with a very large template.
  • Make your symbols bigger & clearer- they will show up much nicer once you shrink them.

Not bad for some of your first decals though, it took me alot of practice to get good at using MS paint.

Nice work!

well howdy, i had a fiddle with the original, i used some of my own reference picks and combined them with your original design, now remember folks all credit goes to greek freek because it was his original design, i just changed it.

i did 3 different types theres the normal one (for humans) the demonic one ( for demons although i have to change the skin color to black) and the angelic one ( for angles) combined with a set of redbeans helmet and sheild i think these would look quite good.

Did you use an example for making this decal?
I mean some historical drawing regarding Sparta?

History is the version of past events that people have decided to agree upon.
