UAS Review

by Pharazon (Cloth Accessories)

These are some of the most worth-while Lego customization expenditures I've made. For the fabric elements, the quality is immaculate. This is even more impressive when considering that each is hand-made by UnknownArtist himself. Clearly a master at his craft, there is also a touch of clever courtesy when it comes to the sleeves. I was surprised (and a bit relieved) to find that each sleeve already has the Lego arm glued in place. It's a nice bit of forethought that helps distinguish UAS. The material is on par with official Lego fabric elements. Little to no fraying as it is well protected by a spray on medium.

There is the draw back that once attached to the body, the arms will not move easily. The gap between the torso and arms filled by two layers of fabric allows only for delicate and deliberate movement. On a couple of occasions and arm even popped off when adjusting it's position. I received three cloaks and can attest that this is not entirely consistent. The brown and black (pictured below) fit better than the white featured on my Elf fig.

What is consistent is the quality. The Vibroswords casts are equally impressive. There is an absence of flash and the cast is very smooth. The level of detail is not lost by the casting process.

As stated in El Mariachi's review, these are not for rough play but do add a genesequa to any custom. Perfect to adorn and ameliorate any project. Being hand-made, it takes time for him to construct an element to his standards. This is offset I feel by the quick shipping. It took two to three days to arrive at it's destination in the middle U.S.A from Turkey. Another pleasant surprise our resident textile artisan provides.
