And a special bonus Franklin Richards the son of Mr. Fantastic and the Invisible woman. A mutant with powerful reality warping abilities. While still a child he already has adventures not only with his family but with the young superhero team Power Pack as well.  In at least one possible future he become an X-man and husband of Rachel Summers, daughter of Cyclops and Jean Grey.

Very nice!  I like how you put in the silver surfer.  But there seems to be something wrong with the surfers face.  SS doesn't smile, and his eyebrows aren't quite so slanted.   I like all of your fantastic four but the thing.  I think he should be one of those megablocks dragon torsos painted orange.  Or a Jack Stone minifig painted orange.  And, as a last resort, sculpey.  Galactus is also very well done.  A very good job, but you could still improve it if you wished.

Ilove the fact that you moderated a large castle figure, finally a second use for those huge dumbo's! but isn't galactus bigger than that? Oh and you shoud make his chair too!

Great job Ed! The paint jobs are superb! The only things I would have done differently are: for the Invisible Woman, I wouldn't have used black (or a really dark color) "dead space" for her curves (but that's personal preferance and my own stupidity and not everyone agrees, so this isn't a complaint); for Galactus, I would have uses some type of putty or other air hardening clay to fill in the holes in his head and antennae but that's also a minor thing and personal preferance. Do you ever use decals or do you do everything all painted?

As for l33t's suggestion, I'll agree that the Thing looks like he's on a diet, but instead of modefying a Mega Blok knight's body, they already created a Thing minifig. My suggestion though is that it seems like you're only using LEGO pieces (from what I've seen so far) so keep this Thing that you created- he looks fine.

To answer badboy (since I'm already here), in the Marvel handbook, Galactus is listed as 28' 9", so while this Galactus maxifig (hey, it ain't mini anymore :D ) could be a bit larger, first, you work with what you have, second, the scale is close enough- on a similar note, I'm sure that the Sentinel of the X-Men action figures is not the correct scale to the rest of the action figures but it's still close enough as well.

What, no Power Pack love?

Very nice work all around, particularly the everybody in the FF.  Personally, I prefer the standard minifig-look for Mr. Grimm as well, and you did a really good job of capturing his essence in the LEGO-style.  Same with the resident planet eater of Marvel.

If we're going to quibble over scale, I can't wait to see Ego the Living Planet.

You sure you're not thinking of Modok?

As for scale issues -- it should be noted that characters in the MU change sizes pretty frequently according to the whims, or ignorance, of the artist. Galactus has been as large as a planet itself, and othertimes smaller than a mid-size skyscraper. Really large characters in the MU are rarely consistent in size. This size works very well for LEGO-izing.

Great work, Ed. I, too, applaud your use of otherwise useless megafigures to make Galactus. Maybe a Giant Man, Goliath, or Apocalypse the next time around? I dumped your main image, because it violates image sizing rules. Feel free to put it back in using the size filter.
