My thanks to the organisers, judges and fellow enthusiasts.

I had believed in my chances to secure atleast one out of 3 top spots but never dreamed of securing all 3 O_o (duh!)

Through the years along with our collections as we mature (ok, get older) i will bet the idea of creating or modifying your minifigs for something unique had flashed in the mind of every minifig lovers. MCN is the catalyst of such ideas, and at the forefront of bringing it to the main stream. We all owe it to MCN for a proper venue to explore this aspect as a hobby.

Thanks for the contest again, I look forward to exciting new works/products/technique/talent which continue to gather at this site.

You all had us sweating out the judging, so many shield designs were superb, and some of you really surprised me with such fantastic designs.  We can all look at our finalists and be inspired by their creations.  Also, I would love to see some of you print out your designs and add to them to make a complete custom minifig.  This is just the beginning!

Amazing job Fry_Slayer, as soon as I saw your designs, I knew mine were out.

You can count on me continuing to make shields that go along with my entires. I'm starting a faction of the Gon-Dolan. A fantasy setting of an old kingdom in very low condition brought to its knees in the great wars against the orcs. Anyways, that's for another thread, I don't want to hi-jack this thread.

Out of curiosty could you explain your judging system? I'm curious what the highest you could get was, and what the categoryc"Implementation of design" meant. Great designs to every one! I'm amazed at the work you're doing. Also, are the finalists in any particular order?
