Marvel minimates

by legoclone123 (Brick Talk)
Can you use the accesories that marvel minimates use with lego minifigs, for example can you put ironmans helm on a minifig head,  and could i get a scale size (like a minimate next to a lego fig)?

Hi Clone. To answer this question I asked my two Bamans for help. If my intel serves me correctly, C3C is from Minimates in which case I might have an answer without searching the 'net.

My answer would be, no. The minimates are a bit larger so their accessories would be larger as well. The headpieces: minimates (at least my C3C Batmat) have larger flat heads so when I tried to put the C3C cowl on the Lego Batman, it just sort of sat there spinning on the stud at the top of his head. The Lego cowl didn't even fit onto the C3C head- too small. But, that shouldn't stop you from trying- just don't be disappointed. The hand accessories might work with lego, but it's doubtful as well. As for pics, I'll see if I could do something over the weekend, probably by sunday or monday. Hope that helped.

EDIT: Okay, for once I'm early. A pic of my C3C Batman and LEGO Batman:

Yeah, the short answer is "No."

Long answer: Minimates have actually varied in size a bit since they first came out. The smaller ones are a -bit- closer to LEGO size than the larger ones are, but even so - they're still pretty incompatible. However, with enough will and resolve, you can probably modify them to fit. You just have to be willing to put in the work to make it happen. So if you want to try, I suggest only buying one set of minimates to start with and seeing how it works out.
