You say you made that? You just added a couple lines to something that CB made. If you are going to edit somebody's work, make sure that you give them credit. I don't see any real reason for your edits either... -Pac

Crazy Boy, it was generous of you to offer forgiveness. However:

OFFICIAL MCN STAFF ANNOUNCEMENT

TheStick of Doom has been permanently banned from the MCN. Normally, a banning would not warrant any official announcement - the transgressor simply disappears. But this is a special case that really needs to be put under a spotlight for a moment.

The MCN has never and will never tolerate plagiarism. We have seen this before, and for my part I've seen it many times in many different areas of interest. And it breaks my heart every time. As customizers, the largest part of what we do, and how we identify our work, is through sheer personal creativity. We pour into the things we do. We create intellectual property consistently and do so, largely, to benefit the entire community. I've never seen anyone on MCN, or similar websites, ask for anything but proper credit. This is an extremely important point. We have lots of talented people here, and elsewhere, who spend hours and hours of their free time creating. And they are more than willing to share what they have created. They don't ask for your money, or anything else -- just credit where its due.

To not give them that is a slap in the face. It's morally repugnant. Claiming as your own something someone else spent their creativity, time, and energy to create is truly one of worst nonviolent transgressions a person can make against another person. There aren't enough foul words in my vocabulary to properly elucidate how it makes me feel to see this kind of thing happen. I'm sure the rest of the MCN Staff feel similarly. You never, ever put your name (even implicitly or metaphorically) to something that someone else created. This is not something a person can just apologize their way out of. "I'm sorry, please forgive me" does not erase the infraction, or the intent behind it -- to steal from another person.

Others have been banned for this same transgression, and I hate to see it happen again. If you see MCN members claiming other people's work as their own, here or on another website, report it to a Moderator immediately.
