What about a german section on MCN?

by Uni (Site Feedback)

Hey all!

Well, i am not a very active user on this board, but what about a german section for the german speeking people in here? I would be able to help an translate things into german. Also other are able to translate and bring in their own informations - about stuff and things they use to build custom accessories and so on.

Not all the glues and else are the same as it is shown here in the "how to" section. It is just an idea and not a Must. What do you as user of this board think about this idea?

And who would be able to help?

Greetings from Germany

Hello Uni.

Hmm, Intresting Idea. Although it would be a long process for The Admins and My fellow MOD's, to get finished but its and Idea. And if we do German we may have to do all languages......

Hey Daredevil!

Hmm, I know that would be a long time to work for all you MOD´s and Admin´s. But as I said befor, i will help and there will be anyone who would help too. As you can see, in the EU, especially Germany, there are not all speeking and reading english. I have not really problems to understand english. But writing is a problem for me. Also other german users do ;)

We´ll see what is possible and what the time will bring us!

I don't think that an entire section devoted to German would happen, but it could be an artice, maybe in the how-to, where you could describe the different products that can be found in germany that are similar to ones we describe.  Also anything else you think important for the german speakers to know.  We could post it in german and english so that we all learn!

Uni if you want to write it up we'll find a place here on MCN for it, as I do know that we have a good number of german members.  The Ball is in your court!

Hey !

Well, if the ball is in my court - I have to react. But this is the problem I have. I don´t know which products are similar to the products which are describe.

I just would translate all the "How to´s" into german.  And that´s what i am able to do. Maybe someone else will and/or can help with the productinformations. I will contact some other known german friends.

Heya!

Well, my Idea is growing up into an other higher Level! Some of my Friends want to help. But where can I send the E-Mails?

With the translations, you mean? Don't hesitate to send them to me (victorsobolev@yahoo.com), we'll work on uploading them. ;) Thanks for your time!

Okay, i will send it to your adress. Hope it wouldn´t be hard to understand what I had written. But I will tell you what is what ;) I´ve got written down the first 4 Steps in "How To". I am just waiting for some articles from a friend.

I know some mod will probably come beat me with a stick for this, but isn't Redbean chinese? It'd be cool if he could translate some of the articles into chinese.

At this point in the game I personally don't think that there is enough of a need for translating specific How To Articles into different languages.  Instead we should be focusing on developing more high quality articles.  If anyone has an idea (meaning you have the idea plus the workings for the article) please post it!

There are tools such as the ones listed below that are imperfect and somewhat basic but still useful.
