What is your favourite oficcial Lego minifig?

by Radium Radiator (Brick Talk)

I have to say, my favourite Lego minifig is Achu, from the adventurers sets.

http://www.legofigs.com/webpage/images/adventurers/Achu.jpg

I love the headpiece and the clothes.

I probably have more favourites that I can't think of.

So anyone else's favourites?

I also like the vampire one, which I do have :)

Here we go, plain and simple.

Although, any minifigs from the Classic Castle line would fit the bill for me.

This guy was always my favourite when I was a kid. I loved knights, but the Robin Hood image really appealed to me as a kid. Not so much anymore.

Nowadays, none of the figs rank as a 'favourite.' They're all just fodder and filler. I like some figs, I don't like some figs, but I don't like any standard ones enough to make them a 'favourite.' All of my favourites are custom jobs, typically with decals.

I happen to like the Viking King a lot. The torso is a bit busy though and looks almost like a system of gears in his stomach!

by Lamanda2 on Sun, 07/09/2006 - 21:31

Ah yes, that was one of my favorites as well Damien, but like I say, all the classic castle figures are my favorites.

If I had to pick my favorite new figure I would without a doubt pick Killer Croc, although I don't own this figure I like the way he looks, I bet an of 'Croc goblins' would be an interesting sight to see..

Off the top of my head my first choice would have to be Greedo. New head sculpt AND this time they painted it (unlike Jar Jar or the Gamorean Guard etc...), the figure looks quite like in the movies (or at least the Hasbro (?) action figure) so I think it was well done. Also, even though I can't stand how they did Batman himself (the head and mask- the body's okay) I'd have to agree with Lamanda2 about Killer Croc also being my favorite because of the detail,  but if I was going to use him as a customized fig, the head would definatly go for a Trandoshan like Bossk (but since he's green it would have to be Sadeet from the Crimson Empire II comic miniseries).

Besides the use of Croc's head for Bossk, he also makes a perfect Lizard custom from the Spider-Man series.

My favorites would either be the old classic stromtroopers or one or those alien UFO diamond head dudes.

I forgot about him, El- wicked! Complete with tail and labcoat! Did you do the labcoat yourself or was that from an existing figure? (Perhaps one of docs from the new line of city?)

Too bad it's not mine. I never had any idea of how to make the Lizard before. I saw these on Brickshelf like two weeks ago, this guy has great Spidey vigs and great ways to make the villains using unmodified, official pieces. Here's the link. You can also make a torso for Mysterio using Croc's chest as seen in the link. Oh, and the torso is an official piece. It's from the Mad scientist minifig.

Mine would be those classic space guys. They were my first figs and they actually give me a kinda old nostalgic feeling whenever I look at them.

I could've have sworn I had a green one, but upon checking with Bricklink (when BL was up), I realised it was just a pigment of my imagination...

Pigment, figment-ha! Anyways, i'd probably say... the Bat Lord. He was one of my first uninherited figs, that is, a fig not passed down to me by my brother, plus, he looks wicked sweet!

In my youth - the Shogun Ninja minifig

Now - the Darth Vader minifig (something I longed dreamed of in my childhood)

im with Nick Great on this one, those old space guys are awsome, they were the first ones my mum got me when i was about 2, or so she says, also i like the blue wizard, you know the one, with the beard and the wand and the hat, ahh good times good times.

By that same token, I could say I have a very deep appreciation for all of the Star Wars figures.

To be honest, I find it rather perverse and disgusting that the Star Wars sets demand such a high price on Bricklink - often 2 to even 10 times more than they were in stores. Absurd and a shame to the whole AFOL community.

But as a kid, I did everything I could with Town, Castle, Space, and Pirate pieces to make my own Star Wars stuff. I remember making a really lame X-Wing once out of M:Tron pieces. A black and red X-Wing, that's right. And I think I made a Tie Fighter once with Spyrius stuff, later on. Flared castle helmets for Darth Vaders, space gun/torches for lightsaber hilts with painted and snipped antenna for blades, Red, blue and white plain torsos for Jedi, black plain torsos for Sith - the list goes on and on. Incredibly rudimentary and makeshift by the standards of these fabulous Star Wars sets that you can now buy. But back then we didn't even have tan torsos for our Jedi, and lightsaber 'bars' hadn't shown up yet - or anything else for that matter.

Kids today have it good, man. Although we older fans hit the jackpot in concerns to Castle - we got the glory days.

also i like the blue wizard

I was really fond of him as a kid, too. The first set I got him in was that little one with just him and like.. .  a tree fort kinda thing. Fantastic. It even came with a sword, which was perfect for turning ol' Majisto into a war-wizard!

Yes, I too can remember more than a few crude SW MOCs were the first serious LEGO models I tried to put together.  I had a pretty big fleet of micro-scale SW and ST ships by the end.  One play senario I have a fond memory of is the classic "wormhole in space creates a dimensional rift so the SW and ST universes suddenly connect."

I did try and put together Vader and Luke minifigs from existing parts  - they looked fine for a five year old me (Blacktron torso and a black Castle visor for Vader, the old black "zipper" motorcycle torso for Luke).  The lightsabers were pretty rough too - the hinge with attachment point for the hilts and the old red antenna for the blades.

God bless the berber carpeting in my childhood bedroom - nearly the perfect color for the sun-bleached sands of Tatooine.  And you had better believe the Kenner Rancor gave my minifigs a run for their money.

Of course the classic spacemen for me too. They're just so simple... but elegant, usefull, and generally cool looking.... And the Parates and imperials..... I remember the first pirate set i got, a little island set with a skeleton and a treasure chest...... But i will never forget the first two lego sets i got. The old "wild west" covered wagon, and a formula 1 racecar.....

The classic spacemen are cool but the yellow clothed one looks a bit odd, being the same colour as the minifig's skin. Then again, I did recently make a mandalorian with a yellow helmet/jetpack. That doesn't look quite so odd though with the black visor.

yeah, the yellow ones are kinda odd.... but every color has a purpose!

Blue: Troopers

Red: Special Forces

Yellow: Civilians

White: Scientists/medical personnel

did i miss any colors?
