Terminator Deluxe Edition by Bad Sandwich

by Meebs (Minifig MOC's)

Finally, a finished version of the Terminator T800 Endoskeleton.
This I've decided to call the Deluxe Version as I've a WIP that has printed standard lego legs.
Hope you like.

I agree with you NickGreat, it deffinately needs a better shot I was a little bit hastey in getting it up there and the light was bad.

That is awesome, is it a rub n buff technique?  Too bad there isn't a better torso for that design, but I think you have done the best without making a custom torso.  Great work.

Kam, that is a custom torso, if i'm not mistaken. Meebs, no idea what that thing is, but it looks downright awesome! Very cool!

That picture is much better, very nice!

Shadow-

That is not a custom torso,it is a normal one with a decal.

Lamanda2 is right. It's not a custom torso but spliced arms and legs from a skeleton figure attached to a regular torso.

Kam: No it's not rub and buff. It's Aluminium coloured model paint with a black wash to bring out the detail. Then a silver wash to bring out the edges.
That's part of the reason this thing took so long to finalise.

Again, thanks for the kind comments.

Ohhh, thats what he (kam) meant. Sorry Kam, I thought you meant decal. And Lamanda, thats Shadowviking, or SV if you must. Sorry, I have Norse blood in me, and i'm touchy about it. Anywhat, I did some research, that's what Arnie is underneath, right? Not right? Sorry, I don't watch movies a whole lot...

That's right Shadowviking.

i like it a lot, it looks great, and i know you had to customize a lot of parts to get it to look like this. but i think it looks, small...

is it bigger than an actual minifig, maybee you could put them next to each other and taka a pic.

by DARK LORD REVAN on Thu, 06/08/2006 - 07:02

Man thats the best! You should give him a custom weapon.

Hmmm, looks small.
Well rest assured it's the same size as any other fig. I'll get round to taking a better picture and one with a regular guy standing next to him just for comparison.

I'd considered making a custom weapon but I'm still in two minds because he couldn't hold it right cos of the angle of his hand. Like, sticking out sideways.

I remember this guy too. It looks super awesome finished. That black wash was certainly a good idea, really brings out the detail of the composite pieces. It was worth the wait, great work!

I think that the head looks too large, especially with the skeleton arms and legs.  Perhaps a painted up C-3PO head would look good?

Well, that's my interpretation of the guy anyway, maybe I'll leave the 3P0 idea for someone else.
Any takers?

an idea for the skeleton hands-cut the hand off of the rest of the arm as smoothly as you can a glue it on the other way with some super glue or false nail glue(im not a girl! I just find nail glue to be good for glueing custom guns together- I think the brand of glue is kiss-quick pink nail glue-dont worry it goes on clear and stays that way!)

The Bad Sandwich thing is a little name made up by myself and a mate (the paint-job specialist) by way of a group effort and hopefully a name soon to be synonymous with fine lego customizing. You get the gist.

Meebs incidentally is short for Amoeba, a cartoon character I draw.

I didn't intentionally double post but I must have hit POST twice thinking the first post hadn't done anything, stupid touch pad.

Thanks Daredevil for the kind words :o)

Hey Pork Demon I think the arms ran something like this:  Take normal arms; cut off lower part; take skeleton arms; cut off upper part;  glue them together.  And viola you have minifig  Compatable  skeleton arms.

Please correct me if I am wrong.
