Casting Requests ~ Updated 11/7/06

Ok, guess I should have said this before, but..... I cannot really cast weapons, just helmets and such.  THe problem with stuff like, say, a sword, is getting the resit to flow all the way to the end tip of the weapon.  It just wouldn't work.  So, please stick to stuff that the minifigs wear as it is much easier for me to cast.  And thanks for the suggestions guys, they're great.  Keep 'em coming!

There is no guarantee that I WILL do any of these peices, I just wanted ideas of what to do.... some are very good ideas and will be made, others are "rainy day" projects, for when I am really bored.  Gruntbuddy, ask me one more time for that Halo helmet and I guarantee it will NEVER EVER EVER be made by me.  If that is not clear, then please re-read rule #4 in my first post. 

Also, as I add requests to the list and delete their posts, it will leave a list of the informational posts I have made.  Is it triple posting?  Yes.  But with a reason.

I'm really not interested in making either of those two pieces of headgear.  The medieval helmet is readily available still and may even make a comeback (who knows!).  The police hat comes in many different colors, so no real great interest to make that.  Are you sure you can't use a real police hat to make your custom LSW2 hat?

Hi Rec, this isn't a request so much as a question. You have some listed up there as done(Male "tousled" hairpiece, Standard Lego Ninja Cowl, Standard Lego Wavy Hairpiece, Scout Trooper Helmet, Yoda Head), but they aren't for sale. Just wondering why(Curious George I am I am :D). -Pac

Some have been molded but do not cast well, some I have molded but not tried out yet.  Some are very difficult to cast so are not offered for sale, cause who wants to pay $12 for a cast?

Not really.  They're readily available.  And mostly, I make stuff that I want to use, and I have no desire to use any stormie helmets (aside from the fact that I've got about 20 extras).

Please allow me to comment on the SHAKO request.
At the Eurobricks forum is a topic where users have expressed the need for more SHAKO's to be available.
Also several people gave an indication of the amount they would be needing which is more than 500 in total.

How about Euro armor?  I know it is still readily available but I'm sure it would be more convenient for you instead of buying a $10 set for it or buying 1 for $5 on bricklink

Just an FYI, I've been VERY busy at home and work and I am not really casting much.  Or, at all.  Maybe later after I've taken a good long break.

As for most of these recent requests, they are not all very feasable, or necessary.  Euro armor?  Gawd, how many colors do we have on that.  It's so easy to obtain.  Shako?  It's possible but I'd have to charge so much for one that you're better off going to BL.  500 of them?  That would be impossible for me.  A mold makes 1 at a time, and can make maybe 25 before the mold is dead.  Samurai helmet... the clip would drive me bonkers.  Judge Dredd armor would be cool to make, but nothing for reproduction.  Mandalore helmet... just do a little sanding and creative cutting on a Boba Fett helmet.
