Question about fabric

by HenrytheV (Tips, Techniques & Questions)

Okay, I got a question.

What brand of printable cloth do you use? Not the iron on fabric, the stuff that actually goes through the printer. Also, is available at most stores?

What is the best brand of waterslide decals? Are they easy to find also?

I just need this for some custom capes and flags I am doing. Thanks for the help!

I have no idea as to the printable cloth but for the waterslide decals I use micromark  they have some good decal paper.

I personally use Jaquard Cotton Fabric Sheets. It is very good for inkjet printers. Theoretically, it can be washed after 24 hours, but since you'll coat it to stop the unravelling, that doesn't really matter. Another reason I like Jaquard Fabric is because it's very thin and easily folded. Where are you from? If you are from the states, you'll be able to find it easily, otherwise Internet shopping might be your only choice (as it is for me!). :( Anyway, drop me a pm if you have any questions, and check out my customization gallery to see how I use the fabric: http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?f=138630

Matte acrylic medium (you can find it in any hobby store) works perfectly. The fabric stays more flexible if you apply it on just one side, but will last for AGES if you aplly it on both sides (though in that case, all folds you make will be permanent). ;)

Hi,

Do you know any good online store that sells the Jaquard Cotton Fabric Sheets, and that ships international?

Valid question - anyone have an answer for him?
