Editor Change.. hold on to your hats ;)

by Ramus (Official Announcements)
I have installed a new text editor.  Nothing major as far as drastic changes.

  • Issues with editor being too small on some text areas fixed (PM & Sig for example)
  • Insert Picture feature now has the ability to dynamicly size images.  When you insert an image over the allowable dimensions use the SIZE feature.  The lock ratio keeps the pic in proportion.
  • Little cleaner look
Let us know if you have any questions.

Great fix for posting pictures, but where did my best friend the spellcheck go?

When you insert a pic, you can specify the width & height in pixles.  (it will keep your ratio if so desired)  If you have a pic already inserted, then simply hilight the pic & click the insert pic button & it will pull up properties.

Wait a sec, I didn't get it. Let's say I'm inserting a pic in my next post - what exactly should I do? (Sorry if my questions look silly ;D) Does it have anything to do with the < img > tag?

nope, no image tags now.... there is a little icon of a tan box with some mountains on it (kinda looks like a post card), just click that to insert pictures.

ummmmmmmmmmmmmm.......... can someone help me?!?! I don't even know how to put a picture in my post/comment!!

Upload the image from your harddrive to an image housing site like Maj or Brickshelf.

Once uploaded (this is for Maj or Brickshelf), click the image once, which will open it. Then click the image -again-, which will open it in its own window. Copy the address in your address bar.'
OR
Click the image once. Then right-click it and choose "Properties." In the properties window, there will be something called "Image URL" -- Copy that address.

In your post, click the icon circled in Deathstick's post in this thread. It looks like a mountain and sun on a yellow-tan background. When the image editor opens, insert the link into the 'URL' bar. Resize as necessary according to the rules for image posting.

And stop posting so many letters in one word. 'Umm" is more than sufficient. Thank you.
