Use of and participation in Minifig Customization Network's website is contingent upon your acceptance of the following terms and rules. By participating in the interactive community, you acknowledge your acceptance of these terms. Please make yourself familiar with the Rules & Regulations (there are not too many) before posting.
RULES OF CONDUCT
To ensure continued success we are posting these guidelines so that all participants of the MCN website understand what is considered unacceptable behavior and can result in a temporary suspension or a permanent ban.
Show Respect At All Times:
This includes respect to your fellow user and respect for MCN staff. The Administrators and Moderators work very hard for the community with little or no gain to themselves, so please respect their efforts.
Not responding to or ignoring admin / moderator warnings will lead to suspension.
Personal attacks are prohibited. This specifically means any text/post that is blatantly attacking another person on or off the site, especially in a personal way.
Trolling is prohibited. Trolling is whenever someone is clearly, deliberately posting in a manner for the purpose of angering and/or insulting the other participants of the board. Trolling DOES NOT encourage further discussion; in the long run, it only encourages personal attacks (if left unchecked).
Help Build The Community:
The success of MCN depends upon the quality posts of our participants. We are proud of MCN's success and give our thanks to those who have chosen to make our site their home for construction brick customization.
Spamming the forums is prohibited. You will be warned if this activity is noted & you may be suspended if it you don't stop.
Off Topic Posts are prohibited outside of the Off-topic Chat forum. Any off topic posts will be deleted, as well as responses to the off topic post. Excessive off topic posting will result in suspension. Please keep in mind that there are some topics that are not appropriate for the forums period. (no one on MCN wants to read about what you had for dinner last night)
Use the private messaging service for any desired off topic chit chat.
Do not Double Post. The forums are enabled with an edit button. If you forget to add something to you post, simply use the edit feature. Comments such as "Sorry for the double post ...." will be deleted.
"Relevant Conversation" Keep in mind when posting that there is a time and place for everything. Do not post MOC's not relating to minifig customization in the Minifig MOC's forum. Likewise, keep all comments relevant to the topic. Topics / Comments with no relevance or purpose will be deleted.
"Quality Content" Only post comments and content that is relevant to the community. Posts that lack any substance such as "nice" or "awesome" will be deleted.
Personal Information:
Participants shall not post messages containing personal information including but not limited to full name, home address, email address or telephone numbers.
Inappropriate Content:
Any use of inappropriate content is will not be tolerated. Any content that includes inappropriate content will be deleted. If deemed necessary by MCN staff the user in offense may be suspended or permanently banned.
Use of inappropriate language will not be tolerated. This includes, but is not limited to, statements, images, usernames, and words that are sexual, vulgar, obscene, profane, defamatory, abusive, hateful, bigoted, or otherwise offensive to others; thinly-veiled obscenities (using alternate letters/symbols); harassment and verbal attacks intended to belittle, humiliate, threaten, or cause embarrassment to another Member; and material advocating or discussing illegal activities. Any attempt to deliberately circumvent the censor filter is prohibited.
Posting of pornography, racist or otherwise discriminating remarks, threats to cause physical or mental harm, extreme offensive language, material that breaks any law or otherwise totally unacceptable posts or links to pages that contain the aforementioned material will result in an immediate suspension and possible ban from the site.
Screen Names:
Whenever you post a message on MCN, your screen name will automatically appear with your message. You may choose a name to use in connection with your messages in the interactive community. However, you may not use a user name (or e-mail address) that attempts to impersonate another person; that belongs to another person, without his or her prior consent; that violates the intellectual property rights of any person; or that MCN deems to be offensive.
Users are NOT allowed to change screen names.
Age Limit:
Due to Internet Laws and the regulations that go along with them MCN does not allow registration from any persons age 13 or younger. Any underage user discovered will be suspended. Falsifying information to circumvent this is not permitted.
OWNERSHIP OF CONTENT
MCN encourages the submission of material such as custom creations, articles, story's, editorials, and other creative "Submissions" that might be found useful to the construction brick customization community. Authors of such material will retain their full rights to the work.
Participant authorizes MCN to utilize, in any manner it sees fit and for eternity, the Submissions posted on the site. Participants may request the removal of submissions, but MCN is under no obligation to remove the content.
Using Other Peoples Work:
If someone has posted decals, templates or other such material on MCN then it is understood that the content is ok for public use unless otherwise noted. If someone was to use another persons work in their own custom then proper credit must be given. Please be sure to give all credit where credit is due! This helps to keep everyone happy and the content freely given.
For example:
If you use a template developed by Red Bean, then give Red Bean credit for the original template.
If you use and / or modify a decal produced by Red Bean then give Red Bean credit on the final fig.
It would even be nice if you gave credit to the proper person if you use a certian technique they taught you.
RIGHTS OF MCN / DISCLAIMER OF LIABILITY
MCN shall have the right, but not the obligation, to monitor content in order to respond to or comment upon communications by Participants and in order to determine compliance with the foregoing Rules of Conduct. MCN shall have the right and sole discretion to edit, to refuse to port or to remove any content whatsoever which it finds to be in violation of the provisions hereof or which it finds in its sole discretion to be otherwise objectionable for any reason.
The opinions expressed in the message boards are not necessarily (and in some cases not at all) those of MCN. MCN is not responsible for any materials provided by users which are deemed harmful or offensive to others. MCN is not responsible in any way for any injury, loss, or damage which occurs as a result of an opinion expressed or information provided in these sections of the site. MCN is not responsible for the content of any sites linked to MCN.
MCN makes no warranties, express or implied, as to the content in the MCN site or the accuracy or reliability of any information or statements contained therein. All statements, advice and opinions made by Participants on the MCN website are those of such Participants only, and MCN neither endorses nor shall be held responsible for the reliability or accuracy of same.

IMAGE GUIDELINES & REGULATIONS
The following is a general guideline for posting images in various parts of the MCN site. Please use common sense when posting images; specifically being aware of non broadband users.
Avatars
Avatar images are limited in size by the website. Currently it is set at 100px wide by 100px tall.
Animated images are NOT allowed.
Signatures
Users may post images in their signature
Signature images may be NO larger than 350px wide by 100px tall.
Animated images are NOT allowed
Forum Image Sizes
Users may post images within the forums using the editor interface, bbCode or <img> tags.
Images posted in the forum may be NO larger than 400px wide by 400px tall.
Animated images are not allowed on MCN for a few reasons. First of all they can be very annoying. One may not be too bad but then you get everyone posting animated images & it gets out of hand real fast. Secondly for many low bandwidth users animated images (in small and large) quantities take a longer time to download.
COMMERCE
Any commerce not directly promoted / approved by MCN is prohibited. Only transactions that take place through the MCN Store (RedBean or Kaminoan) / Services area are allowed.
Trading / Bartering: MCN does not allow any trading and / or bartering to take place on the site. If persons wish to trade / barter they must do so by some other means than the MCN website. MCN is not and will not be responsible for any transactions between users. Auctions: A posting of auctions for personal gain on the MCN site is not allowed. If you have a charity auction (100% Proceeds going to charity), then contact an Admin or Moderator with the information and we will give you permission to post it in an appropriate forum.
Advertising: As we have many younger members on this site; posting, promoting the sale of, or advertising your wares is not allowed. This is the same as selling. You can not post, “these items are for sale.” As MCN can not address the quality or the reliability of each and every member offering a product it is better that we allow a zero tolerance. This means no links to ebay, no links to your website where items can be purchased, NO SALES.
The Exception: (We all know there is always one Customers whose products make a major impact on the customizing community will be listed as excellent quality products on a special links page. However, MCN does not endorse or promote the sale of these products.
